Nutrition for children
After many years of working with children as a health visitor, Sally had a long career break to raise her own family of three daughters. These lovely girls inspired her to re-train as a nutritionist and specialise in children's health from a nutritional aspect. Please see her personal profile for further information.

Sally says; " I love to work with children as they are so rewarding and respond so quickly to dietary intervention. I see all ages from pre-conceptual to 16 years. I learn something new from each and every one of them." |

There is a lot of media coverage about children's diets lately and this can only be a good thing. We do, indeed, often treat our children as a seperate race, feeding them with "kiddie food" instead of smaller portions of real food. Many children have no idea where fresh food comes from and busy parents are tempted by the quick fix solution to feeding their offspring. We need to get back to basics and start to cook from fresh ingredients. This need not mean hours in the kitchen, but sensible ideas which can be made quickly Our children's future depends on getting the fuel right. eg they cannot learn or behave appropriately if their brains are mal-nourished |
